How to Configure Your Conan Exiles Server

Learn how to change game settings and configure your Conan Exiles dedicated server.

In this guide, we will show you how to edit every setting on your Conan Exiles server.

This guide mainly focuses on the in-game server settings menu to customize your server with the easiest way possible, without the need to manually edit configuration files.

Basic Server Configuration

Basic settings such as Server Password, Server Name, PvP, Community Type, and more can be configured directly in our game panel. Here are the steps for basic configuration:

  1. Access the GhostCap Panel and Stop your server.
  2. In the sidebar, click Startup Parameters.
  3. Edit the setting you want to change.
  4. Start your server.

Using The In-Game Server Settings Menu
Recommended

This is the recommended way to configure your server outside of basic settings directly adjusted through our panel.

Before proceeding, ensure that you've set an Admin Password as this is required to give yourself the necessary permissions to edit your server settings in-game.

  1. Connect to your Conan Exiles server.
  2. Open the menu with Esc and click Settings > Server Settings.
  3. Click Make Me Admin and enter your Admin Password.
  4. Use the sidebar to find and change settings.

Manual ServerSettings.ini Configuration

Note

If you want to configure everything only via game files or the in-game menu, go to Startup Parameters and disable File Parser. This is for advanced users who want to manually configure a server.

If you want to configure your gameplay settings through your server files, this is how to find your ServerSettings.ini file. This is an advanced and alternative method of configuration.

  1. Log in to the GhostCap Panel and Stop your server.
  2. Go to File Manager.
  3. Navigate to ConanSandbox/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/ServerSettings.ini
  4. Adjust your desired settings and then click save.
  5. Start your server.
