Below are some common issues you might run into with your Enshrouded server and how to fix them.
Character Is Not Saving
By default, Enshrouded saves are stored on the Steam cloud.
To turn this off, open Steam and go to Library > Enshrouded > Properties > Toggle Steam Cloud Off. Your saves will now only be stored locally on your computer. You can re-enable this option later if you want to sync your saves to the cloud.
Make sure to restart your game if you changed this setting while it was running.
Connecting Anonymously to Steam Public…Retrying
You won't be able to connect to your server while Steam is undergoing maintenance or experiencing an outage. The best solution is to wait 5-10 minutes and try again. Alternatively, you can try setting Auto Update to 0 in Startup Parameters to attempt a connection.
Server Is Not Showing Up in the Browser
Your server may need to be updated. You can restart your server to install the latest update or follow our Enshrouded server update guide.
If your server is already up to date and still isn't visible, wait a few minutes for the in-game server browser to refresh.
