This tutorial will guide you through the process of uploading an existing save file to your Factorio server. This is also handy if you're starting a new modded Factorio world that requires a custom map, such as Space Exploration.

Uploading an Existing Save

Navigate to your Factorio save file location.
- Windows: (Press WIN+R) -
%APPDATA%\Factorio\saves - Mac OS: (Press CMD+Space) -
~/Library/Application Support/factorio/saves - Linux:
~/.factorio/saves
- Windows: (Press WIN+R) -

Find the save .zip file you want to upload to your Factorio server and copy it to a safe location.

Log into your GhostCap panel and stop your Factorio server.

Go to
File Managerand then open thesavesdirectory. -
Drag the save .zip file from your computer to the server.
- Rename your save .zip file to remove any spaces if present.

Navigate to
Startup Parametersand look for Save Name. -
Change it to the exact name of your save file.

Start your server.
