The Minecraft server seed controls how your world is generated, including the placement of biomes, structures, and terrain. Here's how to change it.
Changing Level Seed
- Access the GhostCap Panel and stop your Minecraft server.
- Go to
File Manager. - Open
server.propertiesand editlevel-seed=. - Edit
level-name=to change the world name. - Start your server.
Note
Leave level-seed= blank if you want a random seed. Changing the level-name creates a new world folder, preserving your old world.
