How To Reset Your Minecraft World

Learn how to reset your Minecraft server world for a fresh start with a new randomly generated world.

This guide will show you how to reset your Minecraft server world, giving you a fresh start.

Resetting Your Minecraft World

  1. Access the GhostCap Panel and Stop your Minecraft server.
  2. Navigate to the File Manager section.
  3. Delete the world folder.
  4. Restart your server.
Note

Some Minecraft editions store world data across multiple directories:

  • world — The primary overworld dimension
  • world_nether — The Nether dimension
  • world_the_end — The End dimension

If you see these folders, delete all of them to completely reset your world.

Your server will automatically generate a new world with a random seed when it starts.
