  4. Start your server
  5. Enter the corresponding number for the backup you want to restore
  6. Change Boot Mode back to Normal and restart

  2. Download and extract the backup you want

Step 2: Prepare Server

  1. Stop your server
  2. Navigate to File Manager
  3. Browse to Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0/

Step 3: Restore

  1. Locate the folder with random number sequence (example: 723687123871537817253)

  3. Start your server

Important Files to Backup

Always backup both:

  • World save files - Located in Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0/[Your Save File]/
  • PalWorldSettings.ini - Located in Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/ (or WindowsServer/)
  • WorldOption.sav (if used) - Located in your save folder

Note: WorldOption.sav overrides ini settings. If you use it, backup both files to preserve your configuration.

For large save files, use SFTP for faster uploads. Recovery Mode handles all operations automatically.
