How To Disable The Death Penalty On Your Palworld Server

By default, death penalty is set to All on Palworld servers, meaning players lose all items and Pals when they die. Here's how to adjust this setting to customize the difficulty level around player deaths.

Changing The Death Penalty

1. Log in to the GhostCap Panel and Stop your server.
2. Open Settings.
3. Under the Player section, modify DeathPenalty with one of these options:
   • None — Players keep all items when dying.
   • Item — Players drop items but retain equipment.
   • ItemAndEquipment — Players drop all items.
   • All — Players drop items and all team Pals.
4. Click Save & restart to apply your changes.
