This guide explains how to reset your character on your Palworld server using Palworld Save Tools, so you can start over with a fresh character. If you'd instead prefer to reset your entire server, see our Reset Server guide.
To start a new character, don't just delete your .sav file (example: 4ABA143E000000000000000000000000.sav) from Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0/YourSaveFile/Players/. This leaves you unable to reconnect with an error such as Result = FailedPlayerSaveRecoveryFailed. Use Palworld Save Tools instead.
Before making any changes, it's a good idea to take a backup of your save. GhostCap also keeps automatic backups, which you can restore by following our Backup Restoration guide.
