How To Connect To Your Terraria Server

Learn how to connect to your Terraria server using your server IP address.

This guide covers how to connect to your Terraria server using your server IP address.

Connecting To Your Terraria Server

  1. Access the GhostCap Panel and select your Terraria server.
  2. Copy the server IP address from the sidebar.
  3. Open Terraria and select Multiplayer from the main menu.
  4. Click Join via IP and select your character.
  5. Enter your server IP address and click Accept.
  6. Enter your server port and click Accept.

For example, if your server IP is 123.45.67.89:7777, then 7777 is the port and 123.45.67.89 is the IP address. You should enter your server information like this:

  • Page 1 "Enter Server IP address": 123.45.67.89
  • Page 2 "Enter Server Port": 7777
Tip

Make sure you're running the same version of Terraria as your server. If you're connecting to a tModLoader server, you'll need to launch Terraria through tModLoader with the same mods installed. Steam Workshop mods can be automatically installed when connecting to your server.
