How To Whitelist Players On Your VEIN Server

Learn how to whitelist players on your VEIN dedicated server.

A whitelist allows you to control exactly who can join your VEIN server. When enabled, only players whose Steam IDs are on the whitelist will be able to connect—all others will be denied access.

Setting Up The Whitelist

Caution

Whitelisting is for game versions (0.023+).

Once you add any entries to WhitelistedPlayers, only those players will be able to join your server. Make sure to include your own Steam ID!

  1. Access the GhostCap Panel and Stop your VEIN server.
  2. In the sidebar, go to File Manager.
  3. Navigate to /Vein/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/Game.ini and add the section [/Script/Vein.VeinGameStateBase] if it doesn't exist.
  4. Add your SteamID64 to WhitelistedPlayers=. For multiple players, create a new line for each entry:
    [/Script/Vein.VeinGameStateBase]
    WhitelistedPlayers=76561198168321655
    WhitelistedPlayers=76561198954041655 (Create a new line with `WhitelistedPlayers=` to add additional players)
    WhitelistedPlayers=76561209906341655

  5. Go to Console and Start your server.
Tip

Consider combining the whitelist with a server password for additional security layers.

Removing The Whitelist
