Managing your Vintage Story server effectively requires administrator privileges. Whether you need to use admin commands, manage players, or configure server settings, becoming an admin is a simple process that gives you full control over your server.
Becoming a Server OP
- Access the GhostCap Panel and select your Vintage Story server.
- Navigate to
Console. - Type
/op Username(replace Username with your in-game name). - Connect to your server.
Note
You must use your exact in-game username. Changes take effect immediately once you connect to the server.
Removing a Server OP
If you need to remove administrator privileges from a player:
- Access the GhostCap Panel and select your Vintage Story server.
- Navigate to
Console. - Type
/player Username role suplayer(replace Username with the player's in-game name).
Tip
This command reverts the player back to standard player permissions while keeping them on the server.
