This guide will show you how to install mods on your Vintage Story server. You can download mods from the Vintage Story Mod Database.
Installing Mods
- Access the GhostCap Panel and
Stopyour Vintage Story server. - Navigate to
File Manager. - Open the
data/Modsfolder and upload your mod files. - Restart your server.
Your mods will now be active on your server.
Caution
Some mods depend on other mods to work. Check the mod's page on the Mod Database or its documentation for any listed dependencies and install those first, otherwise the mod will fail to load.
Configuring Mods
While these steps may vary, common mod configuration follows this process. Always follow the mod author's documentation.
- Access the GhostCap Panel and
Stopyour Vintage Story server. - Navigate to
File Manager. - Open the
data/ModConfigfolder and edit the configuration file for your desired mod. - Save the file after making changes.
- Restart your server.
Your mod configuration changes will now be applied.
