This guide will show you how to completely reset your Vintage Story server and begin with a fresh world. This process is useful when you need to start over due to irreversible changes or world corruption.
Resetting Your Server
Use this option only when necessary. If you're encountering persistent problems, reach out to GhostCap support for help troubleshooting your server.

Access the GhostCap Panel and select your Vintage Story server.

In the sidebar, select
Advanced>Server Actions>Reinstall Server. -

Reinstall Server?window will open. EnableBackup Before ReinstallandWipe All Files, then clickYes, Reinstall Server. Here's what each option does:Wipe All Files: deletes all existing files before reinstalling, giving you a completely fresh start. This won't touch anything stored in yourBackups.Backup Before Reinstall: creates a backup before the reinstall runs. We strongly recommend keeping this enabled.Start Server after Reinstall: automatically starts your server once the reinstall finishes.

You'll be taken to the console, where you can watch the server reinstall.
Once complete, your server will launch with a brand new world.
