How to Change the Version of Your Conan Exiles Server

Learn how to change the version of your Conan Exiles server using Steam beta branches, including switching to the legacy pre-Enhanced version.

This is how to change the version of your Conan Exiles server. Use this guide to switch to the conan-exiles-legacy branch if you want to play the pre-Enhanced version of Conan Exiles, where the Isle of Siptah map is a separate server from the Exiled Lands, and to use older mods.

Danger

Changing your Conan Exiles server version risks corrupting saves and breaking mods. We recommend creating a backup before proceeding.

Changing Steam Beta Version

  1. Access the GhostCap Panel and Stop your server.
  2. In the sidebar, go to Server Options.
  3. Under Advanced, edit Steam Beta Branch with the branch name you want to use (a list of branch names is below).
  4. Go to File Manager and delete ALL files and folders to ensure a clean install when downgrading.
  5. Go to Advanced > Server Actions.
  6. Click Reinstall Server and wait for the install to finish.

The latest version is public. Use conan-exiles-legacy to play the pre-Enhanced version of Conan Exiles.
